Canning Air Pistol

The Indoor Air Pistol Range is an important part of Canning Club and is often the first introduction new shooters have to the sport of target shooting.

Air pistol shooting provides a safe, controlled environment where beginners can learn the fundamental skills required for all shooting disciplines before progressing to other firearms.

Training for New Shooters

At the air pistol range, new shooters are introduced to the core principles of safe firearm handling and marksmanship. Training includes:

  • Muzzle direction awareness
  • Understanding sight picture and sight alignment

These fundamentals form the basis for safe and accurate shooting across all disciplines at the club.
